The South Anchorage Wolverines basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds to 27 in the Wolverines league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wolverines now have a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Service for a non-league game on Thursday, January 16. South Anchorage will confront a Cougars team coming off a 53-46 league loss to Bartlett (Anchorage, AK). The Cougars record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Bettye Davis East Anchorage falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Barrow (Utqiagvik, AK) to confront the Whalers in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Whalers go into the game with a record of 4-2. Barrow lost 53-51 in their recent non-league game against Mountain City Christian Academy (Anchorage, AK)
