In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Washburn Cardinals basketball team scored a big 61-16 triumph over the Center-Stanton Wildcats.
The Cardinals (11-1) will now prepare for their contest against Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] (Turtle Lake, ND). The Cougars go into the B District 8 contest with a 10-1 record. In their last contest, Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] smashed White Shield (Roseglen, ND), 101-12, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Wilton/Wing Miners (Wilton, ND) in a B District 8 contest, on Thursday, January 16. Center-Stanton will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Miners go into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 47-33 non-league loss to Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock (Linton, ND).
