The Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA) basketball crushed the host Chalmette Owls (Chalmette, LA), 60-27 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 16-5 record. They play next when they travel to Northshore for a 5A District 7 bout on Friday, January 17. Slidell will play a Panthers team coming off a 71-63 league win over Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 17-4.
With the loss, Chalmette falls to 11-11 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Salmen (Slidell, LA) to play the Spartans in a 5A District 7 bout on Friday, January 17. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Salmen won 67-54 in their recent non-league bout against Carver Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA)
