The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Claiborne Academy Rebels (Haynesville, LA) and the visiting Union Christian Academy Lions (Farmerville, LA), observed Claiborne Academy's basketball team overwhelm Union Christian Academy by a score of 47-16.
The Rebels (11-9) will now prepare for their bout against Briarfield Academy (Lake Providence, LA). The Rebels go into the MAIS 2A District 4 bout with a 13-2 record. In their last bout, Briarfield Academy crushed Humphreys Academy (Belzoni, MS), 42-22, in a non-league bout.
With the loss, Union Christian Academy falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Riverdale Academy (Coushatta, LA) to play the Rebels in a MAIS 2A District 4 bout on Friday, January 17. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 20-5.
