Mississippi High School Basketball - Coahoma County bests Independence

The Coahoma County Red Panthers basketball team scored 41 points and limited the host Independence Wildcats to 21 in the Red Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Red Panthers now possess a 19-3 record. They play next when they travel to Holly Springs for a 3A Region 2 game on Friday, January 17. Coahoma County will play a Hawks team coming off a 49-44 league loss to North Panola (Sardis, MS). The Hawks record now stands at 10-9.
With the loss, Independence falls to 14-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Senatobia (Senatobia, MS) to play the Warriors in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 10-4. Senatobia lost 55-44 in their recent league game against South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS)
