The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Wabaunsee Chargers (Alma, KS) and the host Council Grove Braves (Council Grove, KS), observed Wabaunsee's basketball team knock off Council Grove by a score of 42-27.

The Chargers (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mission Valley (Eskridge, KS). The Vikings come into the Flint Hills challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Mission Valley was knocked off by West Franklin (Pomona, KS), 47-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Braves encounter the Chase County Bulldogs (Cottonwood Falls, KS) in a Flint Hills challenge, on Friday, January 17. Council Grove will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 28-26 league win over Lyndon (Lyndon, KS).
