Georgia High School Basketball - Dawson County holds off Pickens

January 14, 2025: Dawsonville, GA 30534

The Dawson County Tigers basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Pickens Dragons to 46 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now possess a 11-7 record. They play next when they host Johnson for a AAA Region 6 game on Friday, January 17. Dawson County will confront a Knights team coming off a 89-19 league loss to Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA). The Knights record now stands at 0-13.

With the loss, Pickens falls to 15-2 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Chestatee (Gainesville, GA) to confront the War Eagles in a AAA Region 6 game on Friday, January 17. The War Eagles go into the game with a record of 12-5. Chestatee won 73-42 in their recent league game against North Hall (Gainesville, GA)
