The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the D.C. Everest Evergreens (Schofield, WI) and the host Merrill Bluejays (Merrill, WI), observed D.C. Everest's basketball team overwhelm Merrill by a score of 50-25.

The Evergreens (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln (Wisconsin Rapids, WI). The Red Raiders come into the Wisconsin Valley challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln was routed by Stevens Point (Stevens Point, WI), 73-36, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bluejays battle the Marshfield Tigers (Marshfield, WI) in a Wisconsin Valley challenge, on Friday, January 17. Merrill will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 68-34 league win over Wausau West (Wausau, WI).
