In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Kate Duncan Smith DAR Patriots basketball team scored a good 47-38 triumph over the Douglas Eagles.
The Patriots (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against Arab (Arab, AL). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 12-10 record. In their last contest, Arab topped Asbury (Albertville, AL), 65-19, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Boaz Pirates (Boaz, AL) in a 5A Area 13 contest, on Monday, January 20. Douglas will attempt to better on its 4-14 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 11-11 record after their 56-36 non-league loss to Albertville (Albertville, AL).
