In Tuesday's league battle, the host Spring Hill Panthers basketball squad scored a tight 48-45 victory over the Gilmer Buckeyes.

With the victory, Spring Hill advances its record to 19-8 on the year. The Panthers travel to Cumberland Academy (Tyler, TX) to meet the Knights in a 4A Region II District 16 battle on Friday, January 17. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 7-19.

The Buckeyes now own a 4-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kilgore for a 4A Region II District 16 battle on Saturday, January 18. Gilmer will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 33-26 league loss to Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-12.
