In Tuesday's league contest, the host Grandview Zebras basketball team scored a big 73-23 win over the Rice Bulldogs.

The Zebras (26-3) will now prepare for their contest against Palmer (Palmer, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region III District 18 contest with a 8-19 record. In their last contest, Palmer was trounced by Keene (Keene, TX), 69-42, in a league bout.

With the loss, Rice falls to 0-13 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Maypearl (Maypearl, TX) to play the Panthers in a 3A Region III District 18 bout on Friday, January 17. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 19-8. Maypearl won 41-26 in their recent league bout against Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX)
