The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the New Site Royals (New Site, MS) and the host Hatley Tigers (Amory, MS), observed New Site's basketball team overwhelm Hatley by a margin of 83-52.

The Royals (13-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Mooreville (Mooreville, MS). The Troopers come into the non-league challenge with a 12-7 record. In their last challenge, Mooreville trounced Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS), 54-29, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) in a 2A Region 1 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Hatley will attempt to better on its 11-6 season record. The Urchins come into the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 56-53 league loss to Walnut (Walnut, MS).
