The Pirates now possess a 9-15 record. They play next when they host Grulla for a 4A Region IV District 32 game on Friday, January 17. Hidalgo will confront a Gators team coming off a 35-31 league win over Valley View (Pharr, TX). The Gators record now stands at 5-11.

With the loss, Port Isabel falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Tarpons travel to Jubilee Brownsville (Brownsville, TX) to confront the Titans in a 4A Region IV District 32 game on Friday, January 17. The Titans go into the game with a record of 0-4. Jubilee Brownsville lost 62-14 in their recent league game against La Feria (La Feria, TX)
