The Ledyard Colonels basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Killingly Redmen to 29 in the Colonels non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Colonels now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Windham for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. Ledyard will confront a Whippets team coming off a 85-24 league win over Montville (Oakdale, CT). The Whippets record now stands at 8-1.
With the loss, Killingly falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Redmen host Plainfield (Central Village, CT) to confront the Panthers in a Eastern Connecticut - 3 game on Thursday, January 16. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 3-3. Plainfield lost 44-38 in their recent league game against Montville (Oakdale, CT)
