The Southaven Chargers basketball team scored 63 points and limited the visiting Lake Cormorant to 56 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Chargers now possess a 14-5 record. They play next when they host Horn Lake for a 7A Region 1 game on Friday, January 17. Southaven will confront a Eagles team coming off a 50-21 league loss to Oxford (Oxford, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 6-15.

With the loss, Lake Cormorant falls to 10-12 on the campaign. The host Saltillo (Saltillo, MS) to confront the Tigers in a 6A Region 1 game on Friday, January 17. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 4-16. Saltillo lost 56-41 in their recent league game against Center Hill (Olive Branch, MS)
