North Carolina High School Basketball - Union overwhelmed by Lakewood

January 14, 2025: Roseboro, NC 28385

In Tuesday's league test, the Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC), by a score of 71-28.

Next, the Leopards encounter the North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) in a 1A Carolina test, on Friday, January 17. Lakewood will attempt to improve on its 10-0 season record. The Rebels come into the test with a 11-3 record after their 60-54 league win over Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC).

The Spartans (2-9) will now prepare for their test against Clinton (Clinton, NC). The Dark Horses come into the non-league test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Clinton was routed by James Kenan (Warsaw, NC), 47-42, in a non-league test.
