In Tuesday's league contest, the host Maypearl Panthers basketball team scored a good 41-26 triumph over the Scurry-Rosser Wildcats.

The Panthers (19-8) will now prepare for their contest against Rice (Rice, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region III District 18 contest with a 0-13 record. In their last contest, Rice was toppled by Grandview (Grandview, TX), 73-23, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Blooming Grove Lions (Blooming Grove, TX) in a 3A Region III District 18 contest, on Friday, January 17. Scurry-Rosser will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 15-9 record after their 38-33 league loss to Maypearl (Maypearl, TX).
