Georgia High School Basketball - Mitchell County triumphant over Pataula Charter Academy

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA) and the host Pataula Charter Academy Panthers (Edison, GA), observed Mitchell County's basketball team overwhelm Pataula Charter Academy by a score of 58-22.

The Eagles (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Calhoun County (Edison, GA). The Cougars come into the A D2 Region 1 challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Calhoun County was routed by Pelham (Pelham, GA), 36-34, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Pataula Charter Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 1-14 record after their 50-15 league loss to Early County (Blakely, GA).
