In Tuesday's league test, the Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) basketball squad trounced the visiting Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM), by a score of 57-29.
Next, the Eagles encounter the Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) in a 3A District 1 test, on Thursday, January 16. Navajo Prep will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Hawks come into the test with a 7-7 record after their 43-32 league loss to Newcomb (Newcomb, NM).
The Cougars (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM). The Eagles come into the 3A District 1 test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, Crownpoint was routed by Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM), 47-43, in a league test.
