Maryland High School Basketball - Quince Orchard overwhelms Northwest

The Quince Orchard Cougars basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Northwest Jaguars to 11 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now have a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Damascus for a non-league game on Thursday, January 16. Quince Orchard will confront a Hornets team coming off a 62-36 league win over Magruder (Rockville, MD). The Hornets record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Northwest falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Paint Branch (Burtonsville, MD) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Thursday, January 16. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 3-7. Paint Branch lost 51-38 in their recent league game against Sherwood (Sandy Spring, MD)
