In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Osceola Chieftains basketball team scored a close 38-35 triumph over the Somerset Spartans.

The Chieftains (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI). The Panthers go into the Middle Border contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Ellsworth was tipped by Prescott (Prescott, WI), 51-36, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans confront the Altoona Railroaders (Altoona, WI) in a Middle Border contest, on Friday, January 17. Somerset will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Railroaders go into the contest with a 5-9 record after their 62-37 league loss to Amery (Amery, WI).
