The Davenport Gorillas basketball team scored 39 points and limited the visiting Newport Grizzlies to 14 in the Gorillas non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Gorillas now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Northwest Christian School for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Davenport will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 51-19 non-league win over St. George's (Spokane, WA). The Crusaders record now stands at 12-1.

With the loss, Newport falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Reardan (Reardan, WA) to confront the Screaming Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Screaming Eagles go into the game with a record of 9-1. Reardan won 39-34 in their recent non-league game against Colville (Colville, WA)
