Tanque Verde Hawks (Tucson, AZ) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Empire Ravens (Tucson, AZ), 36-29 in a league match.

With the victory, Tanque Verde advances its record to 4-4 on the year. The Hawks host Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ) to meet the Lions in a match on Monday, January 27. The Lions enter the match with a record of 2-3.

The Ravens now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Safford for a non-league match on Monday, January 20. Empire will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 31-25 non-league win over Benjamin Franklin (Queen Creek, AZ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
