The Summerville Bears held off the host Calaveras Red Hawks soccer squad by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's league outing.

The Bears (5-6) will now prepare for their outing against Riverbank (Riverbank, CA). The Bruins enter the Mother Lode League outing with a 1-15 record. In their last outing, Riverbank was edged by Bret Harte (Angels Camp, CA), 3-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Red Hawks confront the Linden Lions (Linden, CA) in a Mother Lode League outing, on Thursday, January 16. Calaveras will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Lions enter the outing with a 4-7 record after their 2-0 league loss to Big Valley Christian (Modesto, CA).
