In Tuesday's non-league test, the Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA) basketball squad trounced the host Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA), by a final score of 57-33.
Next, the Hawks clash with the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 17. Gretna will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.
The Colonels (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Liberty (Bedford, VA). The Minutemen come into the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Liberty was overwhelmed by Heritage (Lynchburg, VA), 52-26, in a non-league test.
