The Highlanders (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Augusta Christian (Martinez, GA). The Lions come into the challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Augusta Christian was knocked off by Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC), 39-34, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Hammond Skyhawks (Columbia, SC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 17. Cardinal Newman will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Skyhawks go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 52-46 league win over Northside Christian Academy (Lexington, SC).
