Catholic Memorial Knights (West Roxbury, MA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host St. John's Pioneers (Shrewsbury, MA), 43-40 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Catholic Memorial advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Knights host Xaverian Brothers (Westwood, MA) to face the Hawks in a non-league match on Friday, January 17. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 5-1.
The Pioneers now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. John's Prep for a non-league match on Friday, January 17. St. John's will face a Eagles squad coming off a 56-38 non-league win over Malden Catholic (Malden, MA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.
