Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) and the visiting West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS), saw Lafayette's soccer squad triumph over West Point by a count of 7-0.

The Commodores (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against New Hope (Columbus, MS). The Trojans enter the 5A Region 1 battle with a 7-7 record.

Next up, the Green Wave battle the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) in a 5A Region 1 battle, on Thursday, January 16. West Point will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 11-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Corinth (Corinth, MS).
