Texas High School Basketball - Spring knocks off Nimitz

In Wednesday's league contest, the host Spring Lions basketball team scored a good 57-40 win over the Nimitz Cougars.

The Lions (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Aldine (Houston, TX). The Mustangs come into the 6A Region II District 14 contest with a 3-19 record. In their last contest, Aldine defeated Eisenhower (Houston, TX), 47-43, in a league contest.

Next up, the Cougars face the Dekaney Wildcats (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region II District 14 match, on Saturday, January 17. Nimitz will attempt to advance on its 3-15 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 13-6 record after their 58-47 league win over MacArthur (Houston, TX).
