Brimfield Indians (Brimfield, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Williamsfield COUGARS (Williamsfield, IL), 55-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Brimfield upgrades its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Indians host Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL) to play the Chargers in a Inter County bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 16-2. Peoria Christian won 65-51 in their recent non-league bout against Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL)

Next up, the COUGARS play the Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) in a Lincoln Trail bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Williamsfield will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Flying Geese come into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 54-43 league loss to Stark County (Toulon, IL).
