Priest River Spartans (Priest River, ID) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Timberlake Tigers (Spirit Lake, ID), 41-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Priest River upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Spartans host Bonners Ferry (Bonners Ferry, ID) to play the Badgers in a 3A Intermountain bout on Friday, January 21. The Badgers go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Bonners Ferry won 63-45 in their recent league bout against Timberlake (Spirit Lake, ID)

Next up, the Tigers play the St. Maries Lumberjacks (St. Maries, ID) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Timberlake will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 61-32 league win over Grangeville (Grangeville, ID).
