Red Bluff Spartans (Red Bluff, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA), 56-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Red Bluff upgrades its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA) to play the Cougars in a bout on Thursday, January 20. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 12-2.

Next up, the Panthers play the West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 19. University Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record.
