Mill River Minutemen (North Clarendon, VT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Arlington Memorial Eagles (Arlington, VT), 55-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mill River upgrades its record to 3-8 on the season. The Minutemen travel to Woodstock (Woodstock, VT) to play the Wasps in a Southern Vermont - C bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Wasps go into the bout with a record of 6-5.

Next up, the Eagles play the Sharon Academy Phoenix (Sharon, VT) in a Southern Vermont - D bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Arlington Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Phoenix go into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 65-13 league loss to West Rutland (West Rutland, VT).
