Vermont High School Basketball - Champlain Valley Union knocked off by St. Johnsbury Academy

The St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Champlain Valley Union Redhawks to 44 in the Hilltoppers league triumph on Monday.
The Hilltoppers now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rutland for a non-league contest on Monday, January 15. St. Johnsbury Academy will meet a Raiders team coming off a 52-39 league win over Middlebury (Middlebury, VT). The Raiders record now stands at 8-2.
The Redhawks (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bellows Free Academy (St. Albans, VT). The Bobwhites/Comets enter the non-league contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Bellows Free Academy ran past Essex (Essex Junction, VT), 67-53, in a non-league contest.
