The Lyons Lions basketball team (LaGrange, IL), was toppled 61-50 in Monday's non-league battle with the host DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL)

The Barbs now possess a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Metea Valley for a DuPage Valley battle on Friday, January 19. DeKalb will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 51-37 non-league win over Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-7.

The Lions (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Proviso West (Hillside, IL). The Panthers come into the West Suburban - Silver battle with a 6-10 record. In their last battle, Proviso West was toppled by Thornwood (South Holland, IL), 59-45, in a non-league battle.
