Alabama High School Basketball - Hillcrest edges Escambia County

January 15, 2024: Evergreen, AL 36401

The Hillcrest Jaguars (Evergreen, AL) basketball nipped the visiting Escambia County Blue Devils (Atmore, AL), 65-59 in Monday's non-league test.

The Jaguars (20-4) will now prepare for their test against Robertsdale (Robertsdale, AL). The Golden Bears go into the non-league test with a 10-11 record. In their last test, Robertsdale was tipped by Baldwin County (Bay Minette, AL), 67-31, in a league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Satsuma for a 4A Area 2 test on Tuesday, January 16. Escambia County will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 87-41 league loss to Jackson (Jackson, AL). The Gators record now stands at 0-16.
