Poultney Blue Devils (Poultney, VT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Long Trail (Dorset, VT), 68-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Poultney upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to West Rutland (West Rutland, VT) to play the Golden Horde in a Southern Vermont - D bout on Thursday, January 18. The Golden Horde go into the bout with a record of 9-1. West Rutland won 65-13 in their recent league bout against Sharon Academy (Sharon, VT)

Next up, the play the Twin Valley Wildcats (Wilmington, VT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Long Trail will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 61-47 league loss to Woodstock (Woodstock, VT).
