Northland Pines Eagles (Eagle River, WI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Tomahawk Hatchets (Tomahawk, WI), 44-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Northland Pines upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Eagles travel to Ladysmith (Ladysmith, WI) to play the Lumberjacks in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Ladysmith lost 71-65 in their recent league bout against Cumberland (Cumberland, WI)

Next up, the Hatchets play the Tigerton Tigers (Tigerton, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Tomahawk will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record.
