Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA), 63-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Lakewood upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA) to play the Wildcats in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Thursday, January 18. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Oak Harbor lost 44-36 in their recent league bout against Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA)

Next up, the Bayhawks play the Friday Harbor Wolverines (Friday Harbor, WA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Bellingham will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 60-33 league loss to Mount Vernon Christian (Mount Vernon, WA).
