Alabama High School Basketball - Escambia County thwarts Hillcrest

January 15, 2024: Evergreen, AL 36401

The Escambia County Blue Devils (Atmore, AL) basketball knocked off the host Hillcrest Jaguars (Evergreen, AL), 46-36 in Monday's non-league test.

The Blue Devils (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Satsuma (Satsuma, AL). The Gators go into the 4A Area 2 test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Satsuma went down by Jackson (Jackson, AL), 62-10, in a league test.

The Jaguars now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they host Blount for a non-league test on Friday, January 19. Hillcrest will encounter a Leopards squad coming off a 55-15 non-league win over Williamson (Mobile, AL). The Leopards record now stands at 15-10.
