The Minford Falcons basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Wheelersburg Pirates to 32 in the Falcons league triumph on Monday.
The Falcons now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waverly for a Southern Ohio III contest on Thursday, January 18. Minford will face a Tigers team coming off a 54-23 league win over Valley (Lucasville, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 7-6.
With the defeat, Wheelersburg moves to 7-5 on the year. The Pirates host Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH) to face the Senators in a Southern Ohio III match on Thursday, January 18. The Senators enter the match with a record of 11-3. Portsmouth West won 55-34 in their recent league match against South Webster (South Webster, OH)
