Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA), 43-28 in a league bout.
With the win, Mohawk Area upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Warriors travel to Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA) to play the Quips in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Quips go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Aliquippa won 63-28 in their recent league bout against Shenango (New Castle, PA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 63-33 non-league win over Conneaut Area (Linesville, PA).
