The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Pajaro Valley Grizzlies (Watsonville, CA) and the visiting Anzar Hawks (San Juan Bautista, CA), observed Pajaro Valley's basketball team overwhelm Anzar by a score of 72-48.

The Grizzlies (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Trinity Christian (Monterey, CA). The Warriors come into the PCAL - Santa Lucia challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Trinity Christian was ripped by Anzar (San Juan Bautista, CA), 60-51, in a league bout.

With the loss, Anzar falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Kirby Prep (Santa Cruz, CA) to play the Griffins in a PCAL - Santa Lucia bout on Friday, January 17. The Griffins go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Kirby Prep won 58-40 in their recent league bout against Ceiba College Preparatory Academy (Watsonville, CA)
