North Carolina High School Basketball - Chase can't get by Polk County

The Chase Trojans basketball squad (Forest City, NC), was nudged 69-62 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC)

With the victory, Polk County advances its record to 3-10 on the year. The Wolverines host East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to meet the Cavaliers in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 battle on Friday, January 17. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a record of 2-12. East Rutherford lost 66-42 in their recent league battle against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)

The Trojans now own a 1-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patton for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 battle on Friday, January 17. Chase will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 54-50 league loss to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 5-9.
