The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Phoenix Falcons (Kalamazoo, MI) and the visiting Covert Bulldogs (Covert, MI), observed Phoenix's basketball team overwhelm Covert by a score of 98-22.
The Falcons (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Calvary (Holland, MI). The Crusaders come into the Freelance challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Calvary trounced Holland HomeSchool (Holland, MI), 56-36, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Eau Claire Beavers (Eau Claire, MI) in a Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph - White challenge, on Friday, January 17. Covert will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Beavers come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 84-45 non-league loss to Berrien Springs (Berrien Springs, MI).
