In Wednesday's league test, the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), by a score of 45-30.
Next, the Eagles encounter the Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) in a Blue Ridge test, on Friday, January 17. Franklin County will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Colonels come into the test with a 8-5 record after their 49-47 non-league loss to Heritage (Lynchburg, VA).
