North Carolina High School Basketball - Hobbton overwhelmed by Harnett Central

January 15, 2025: Newton Grove, NC 28366

In Wednesday's non-league test, the Harnett Central Trojans (Angier, NC) basketball squad trounced the host Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), by a score of 85-43.

Next, the Trojans clash with the Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) in a 3A/4A All-American test, on Friday, January 17. Harnett Central will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 0-15 record after their 69-28 league loss to Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC).

The Wildcats (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Cougars come into the 1A Carolina test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, Neuse Charter was routed by North Duplin (Calypso, NC), 62-54, in a league test.
