The Southern Columbia Area Tigers (Catawissa, PA) basketball were winner over the visiting Loyalsock Township Lancers (Williamsport, PA), 62-44 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Tigers now possess a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Warrior Run for a Heartland III bout on Friday, January 17. Southern Columbia Area will play a Defenders team coming off a 68-29 league win over Hughesville (Hughesville, PA). The Defenders record now stands at 12-1.

With the loss, Loyalsock Township falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Lancers host Bloomsburg (Bloomsburg, PA) to play the Panthers in a Heartland III bout on Saturday, January 18. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-5.
