Illinois High School Basketball - Oswego East sneaks past Metea Valley

January 15, 2025: Oswego, IL 60543

The Oswego East Wolves (Oswego, IL) basketball edged the visiting Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL), 58-54 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Wolves now possess a 14-5 record. They play next when they host Joliet Central for a SouthWest Prairie bout on Friday, January 17. Oswego East will play a Steelmen team coming off a 72-26 league loss to Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL). The Steelmen record now stands at 2-15.

With the loss, Metea Valley falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Stevenson won 65-39 in their recent league bout against Zion-Benton (Zion, IL)
