The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Mira Loma Matadors (Sacramento, CA) and the visiting Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA), observed Mira Loma's basketball team overwhelm Wheatland by a margin of 61-24.

The Matadors (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Marysville (Marysville, CA). The Indians come into the Pioneer Valley League challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, Marysville trounced Colfax (Colfax, CA), 65-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Lincoln Fighting Zebras (Lincoln, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League challenge, on Friday, January 17. Wheatland will attempt to better on its 6-11 season record. The Fighting Zebras come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 66-50 league win over Bear River (Grass Valley, CA).
